Anyone know the thread size for stud on the Hahn 16G turbo where it bolts up to the exhaust? Metric or SAE and the size please.... I snapped off a stud and i need to replace it and i want to get the stud before I tear into it so I have it and dont have to go running around looking for one.
i did the same on my 20g yesterday. i went to 6 different places. no luck i had to call hahn today and order them. i got 3 more studs and bolts (so i have extra) and it was only like $10
Did you ask the size becasue i know there is a place here that sells all kinds of automotive studs. I just need the size that goes into the turbo. I might just call here at 9 when then open and find out so i can get cracking.
i took one of my studs in to a couple places that specialize in bolts and studs and noone had anything. all i know is it is a 10mm stud.
I called hahn and the person that answered said the bolt had a 24 one the one side and a 1.5 on the other. Anyone know what that means...also does anyone know if the studs that hold the exhaust flange to the turbo are the same as the ones that hold the turbo manifold to the turbo?
You might want to call back and have some one explain better. To me the 24 is the length of on of the sides in mm maybe both sides. the 1.5 is the pitch (meaning there are 1 1/2 threads in a given area) Most of the studs are 10mm in size (diameter wise)
It's not hard, find a place that would stock fasteners, and tell them to figure it out. Not to mention getting it from a local shop will be cheaper than ordering it from somewhere. it will litterally take them 10 seconds to figure it out.
If you had a set of calipers you could do it yourself.

Ok the size that goes into the turbo is 10 X 1.5 mm Metric stud.
