WELL, I spent a good 2 hours looking this up, calling Parttec, and getting the runaround with Eaton and Magnason.
BUT
for any one who needs Snouts, inner cage bearings, rotor kits, or MISC stuff for GM Performance charger #12498660
Call Magnason. At 1-805-642-8833 and ask for David ext 261. This man is well versed in this charger.
Also, Magnason, Was the one that built this unit, all Eaton did was supply the rotors to.
Magnason.

funny, I spent about 30 minutes, and found all the part numbers for snout bearings, and seals, as well as a local place to purchase them, and save about $60.
Now rotors is something entirely different.....
Chris,
Thanks for all your help. I have an RGA # for the nose drive and I shipped it back to them yesterday. I will email you and Brian on what I find out

Thanks for telling every one about it then it sooo very kind of you.
Funny that you didn’t say that the bearings are DIFFRENT for an M-45GM than a NORMAL production unit that has the same parts as an m-45--- M112 share
Nice!
Agene. This unit was made just for GM inner snout bearing is different, the coupler is different, and the "cage" bearings are.... um, different too.
Sorry for wasting my time calling around. I guess, because of people like you i will not sell the other charger I found for 1400, and it’s a new unit that was sitting around.
Or is this because you don’t read, and didn’t see that this post is for the supercharger kit for the RPO code LD9 twin cam? and you have a L61, thus having a M62, and this is why you felt the NEED to try to make your self look like the alpha male and tell every one how you looked around and saved yourself so, so much money?
Sorry this is supposed to be a HELPFUL informational post.

Even though I don't need the info now.............I still appreciate you posting up what you found out
Car is for Sale!Supercharger kit is for sale!
Actually looking at the charger, the input shaft and the snout, they look like exactly the same bearings that are used in the M45, M62, and the M90. At least the measurements for the outer bearing and seal.
Though having a good contact at a rebuilder is a nice plus, and for that I congratulate you and appreciate the spreading of the information.
And as for the time spent calling around: I didn't say I didn't appreciate it. I have spent time calling around to Magnuson, PSE, and other collecting info on the M62, but until I have a complete and cohesive post that gives more then just a phone number and a contact I am waiting to post anything.
hey chris does gm have a layaway payment system lol... I would get the supercharger but i just bought a labtop
300hp&tq coming soon
Team GREEN
i can get you it for around 1400.00
let me know
also, i work for GM, this is all you need to know. GM dose not have any parts for this unit, just like a early 4L60-E, if you need a valve body spacer plate the only way to get this is in a new tranny.

Yep, the GMP M45 LD9 S/C is 100% different from the normal production M45-M90 units, well with maybe an exception of a couple parts..... Blades and outer snout bearing? but thats about it...... the Eco M62 snout is 1/2" longer, and uses the larger inner snout bearing..... although, if your handy with a Mill, one could possible mill the end down, and make it fit the M45 unit

The 2.4 charger is an aftermarket kit and therefore all parts and components were sourced and serviced through Magnuson.
The 2.2 Eco kit is the same unit as the Redline/SS unit which is OEM and therefore all sourced/serviced through Eaton.
Eaton and Magnuson are basically the exact same company except for the market they work with.
Magnuson units are built to be more universal in usage and have drive and snout components that are different from the Eaton unit because they are meant to absorb more shock than a properly designed OEM system would generate.
Marchi's statements were correct, but in his little world there is nothing except Eco chargers so he did not even think about the 2.4 kit... as Taetsch Z24 was discussing. Although, Taetsch Z24 did not clarify which kit very well by only referring to it part #. Most people do not have the # committed to memory to know the difference.
