Im looking to upgrade and toss out my oem fat butt fan.
What Im trying to accomplish is placing 2 pusher fans on the front of the radiator to open up room on the back side so i can do my dual pass aftercooler. i dont have a/c so no condenser to get in the way.
Are pusher fans going to be as affective? and who would i wire them up to my oem fan relay?
Also what are the dimentions of the 3rd gen radiators?
How will putting the fans on the front afford more space for a dual pass aftercooler? Also why would you want to place your aftercooler behind the rad which is one of the hottest spots in the engine?
If you are really wanting a dual fan the easiest way is the ones off the Alero/Malibu/Grand Am that will firt, but require the addition of a second relay to control the other fan.
Pusher fans are as efficient as pullers, the blade design is a little bit different, just determine what the CFM of the OEM fan is and makes sure your combined output is greater than that.
Well I'm not sure how much this will help, but it does has the wiring for dual fans in it.
Dual fan set-up from other forum.

non of what you said is even close to what im asking bud
.
im leaving the heatexchanger on the front like it is now. removing the oem fan will give me a lot of room between the manifold and the radiator to run the extra lines needed to do the dual pass. When I say dual pass im talking about a modified manifold not heatexchanger (i should of said that). As of right now my cooland lines running into the manifold are uber close to the oem fan and there is no room for my plans.
listening to this bc i am wondering about the dual fans myself
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
i would think that the pusher fans would be fine for idling but at speed when you dont need the they would be blocking air....does that make ssense?
I may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
id get the dual flex-e-lite set up , i know it will work with the gm 2.4 s/c
i think the 1 ive got is the 210b(blue)
but you will need to move the radiator closer to the heat exchanger , which you have the room for
id also put 1 little fans on the heat exchanger , what i was thinking was making them not permanent so for street use i can pull them off , and track use drop them in and force the air out the bumper to help cool at the track or dyno
