So let me tell you my Turbo J fellas what NOT to do.
I currently have a Fidanza flywheel, Spec III clutch, Quaife, Turbo Ecotec.
On my way to work right infront of our race shop where I work I decided to do a burn out on 1st gear.
Before I did it I decided to brake boost it as well.
So I a pedaling clutch, brake and gas, I know you guys know how to do this to make boost out of the hole, and I hit it and just smoke them for like 40-50 feet, get to a stop with the car still in the gear and it is moving with clutch pushed in.
I shift it out of the gear and go to put it in the reverse and no go, all the other gears no go as well.
Well I am thinking let me turn it of and put it in the 1st and push in the clutch and try to start it.
I do that and the car is lurching forward with the starter, as if I didn't push the clutch in.
So I check the fluid and the pedal and cables and nothing.
My clutch disk in NOT disengaging from the flywheel at this point. Maybe throw out bearing but I think not.
Well towards the end of the day around 5 pm, I put the car in the air and feel between the block and the tranny so feel for particles of a exploded clutch disk but nothing.
I ask my buddy that works with me what could it be, and he says exploded disk or something else.
He also said everything is probably coming down as soon as you take the pressure plate off.
So in about 45 minutes I get the tranny of (love the air tools and car lift), and look at the pressure plate and nothing.
I go to take it off and it comes off but the clutch disk that usually comes off as wel because it is clamped down by the pressure plate stayes on the flywheel.
I nick it and it is on.
IT IS WELDED ON THE FLYWHEEL!!!! lmao
I fricking welded my disk on the flywheel and that is why it wasn't disengaging.
So we were careful taking it off to make as little damage to it as we can only puck 1 and 4 were welded and it is a 6.
by little spots of a penny or so, we sanded the flywheel off at those point to get the ceramic off and I put it all back together, in one more record time and it is back to where it was before.
This is by far the craziest thing that has EVER happened to me so all you Turbo boys out there if you ever think of doing this or ever wanna do it you might not gonna be able to drive back home and it will cost you a tranny drop/.
I am lucky I had jack, air and a shop to my disposal.
Anyways going to think about it some more. lol

Mine exhibited the same symptoms when we first got the clutch in, but not the same reason. We actually don't know why, but it just went away after a little driving. Of course the clutch only lasted another 400 miles before I blew it (a part of my own stupidity and some defective parts).

brings me to the point, the lightend flywheels are junk, the stock flywheels are not all that heavy to begin with.

I didin't take pics, I just wanted to fix it and go home, but imagine bunch of burn marks on both pressure plate and flywheel and then just disk stuck on the flywheel.
perfectly centered and all.
It was funny at the time.
I use my left foot for brake and clutch (heel for brake and toes for clutch)and slowly release the clutch while giving gas and brake at the same time.
It builds boost.
Manitoba you are right about these flywheels tho, my friends with a 2 Gen DSM awd got a 4 puck non sprung ACT 2600 with stock flywheel and has done this many times and nothing happened to him.
I guess stock flywheel has HIGHER MELTING POINT?? lol

Well first you make it sound as if a non turbo car could not do this. This has nothing to do with a turbo or not. You did a burn out, anyone can do that, and you did it for a good length. I also do not think it is the flywheel either. Sounds like the problem is the clutch has wear which has put the metal parts of the clutch plate really close ot the flywheel and it got hot and tacked it's self to the flywheel. This could happen with a stock flywheel. Reason I say that is what I think it is is because many people have had the Spec stage 3 clutch not last very long (20-30k). As well we all know your drivetrain has had a lot of abuse and use (not meant in a bad way, just the truth because of your times, and power). None of my comments were meant as a flame to you Yasmin, just stating what I think happened. none the less it is sort of funy!!

im sure the turbo helped this happen faster though

Not really, just heat and the fact that the clutch was not 100 persent engaged for a moment.
just like why hondas weld parts of pistions to there cyl walls, friction+ heat = metle bondage.

the slipping clutch is what caused it....... not the burn out........ he used partial engagement of the clutch to put a load on the engine, to build boost........ this would/could happen with a stock flywheel.......
