Ok, so I've posted this before, but what happened a couple weekends ago kinda clashes with it. How can I have 174whp if I can keep side by side with a stock gtp?? and barely get pulled on by a cobalt ss/sc? im confused lol....

Torque? Or perhaps you got a bad dyno run?
Also consider power to weight ratio, cobalts are pushing 3000 lbs.....the GTPs are more then that....
As stated torque, weight. I can run with a stock GTP as well and I'm less power than you. Also heat of the day of the dyno, type of dyno. All factors.

I can beat stock gtps with just the mods i have lol...... there not that fast considering most will run high 14s to low 15s
Mat didnt you dyno on a Mustang dyno? That could very well have something to do with it..
Now looking at Aarons(phlatcavs) dyno maybe the dude didnt drive it right.. Maybe he cut it short.. Do you remember how he drove the car? Did he short shift any?

nah dude didnt short shift at all....he went all the way till i told him to, 6300.....this is all coming back to the tuning....i really dont think that f*cking dealership did it right....if at all...

dyno numbers only mean so much .... a buddy of mine dynoed his N/A RSX at 175whp and only 130lbs/tq and runs low 14's all day long and keeps up to Skylines no problem on the street... you can only go by dyno numbers so much

im going with the mustang dyno.
you sure your running GTPs? I just ran a brand new GP rental car deffinately not a GTP and it was pretty much even. 03 eco with header intake and catback.

GTP's and SS's aren't very fast, they run high 14's, which is what 178whp in a cav should get you. Still confused?

Was it a Mustang dyno. The only dyno near me is a Mustang dyno. The operator told me that from other peoples actaul dyno results that a Mustang dyno is 10% lower than a common Dynojet. When I was out of town I dynoed at 214whp on Dynojet style dyno. If I figure a 10% loss I would dyno at 193 whp. Dyno results are just a ballpark figure. It is just stupid that dyno manufactures can not decide exactly how much a HP is and how to measure it. I think 1/4 mile times are far more valuble.

that still only puts me around 192whp.....
im still confused but whatever....once i get some $$$ and get hptuners i should be able to make it up
