I just ordered the pulley boys 2.7 pulley. and soon i will order a methanol injection kit to go along with it. As soon as i get everything on im going to take it in and get it all tuned up.
My question is do i need to upgrade to larger injectors to run the 2.7 pulley with the meth injection. Or would the ones that come with the m45 kit still be good?
probably right at the maximum. injector pulse width will be over 80% for sure. with that said i'm running the 2.7 pulley with similar mods and the 310cc but i havent logged it with a wideband yet.
14.82 @ 97 mph
hmm i was running 2.6 with meth injection and stock pump with 310's fine before the s/c injector swap and tune and a 50 shot.
i ran about 9psi on my GM s/c'er with the 310cc injectors and it was fine... now if you get it re-tuned with HP tuners and run the 2.7" pulley you will need larger ones... i think the 310cc injectors fully max out around 215-220whp .... and you never want to run them at %100 duty... id say idealy you want an injector that will run at around 60-70% duty with the given HP
with the GM 2.4L s/c'er kit + HP tuners + 2.7" pulley and what ever other mods you have, a set of RC 370cc injectors should be about right for you...
The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
or cobalt ss s/c injectors which are what i have at 378cc
So were can i pick up some rc 370cc's. i check car customs and they have 310cc and 440cc, but no 370cc
And if i go with the cobalt ss sc injectors how would i have to mod them to make um work?
not sure where you could get the 370cc RC's... i have never looked... im sure you could get them direct from RC.....i think thats what my buddy did with his Grand am

So what about using the ecotec 370cc, how much if any work would it take to use them?
Also ive noticed that injectors are pretty prices, you guys think i will be alright if i tune my car with the 310cc in and then switch them later when i can afford to get the new ones?
the cobalt ss s/c injectors are not 378cc's. Those injectors are rated at 378cc at the stock 2liter ecotec fuel pressure which is around 57psi. On the LD9 those injectors are closer to around 340-350cc.
I am running bosch 370cc replacements for the ford brown tops on my car. With the 2.5" pulley, fuel pressure set to 43.5psi and the car tuned to an afr of 12.0 my injectors duty cycle is over 90%. I'd say with a fair amount of mods and the 2.7" pulley 370 would be just about perfect, but anything more and i'd say go with 440's to allow for more room to play and not continually overworking your injectors.
