I know this might be "off topic" but i had to share this experience!
Have you ever seen those 3 cylinder cars like a chevy sprint or a pontiac firefly? Well I saw the nicest chevy sprint ive ever seen the other day. Beatuful paintjob, lowered, rims, tires, turbo, nice sounding BOV.
BUT WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. Looked Good, Sounded Good, still SLOW as hell!
I had no problem passing him with my 3.0L V6 NA Van. LOL. Whats the point of turbo charging an oversized lawnmower?

I almost turbo'd my geo storm back in the day... I don't see anything wrong with it... the V8 guys probably say the same about us!

actually sport compact car did an article on a sprint the other month..
doing a few modifications to improve "performance" actually helped improve gas mileage also. so they got a fun little car to drive almost 50mpg
...so there is a good point to do it
and if I am not mistaken the isuzu car that was very close and similiar came turbo factory, so he could have just swapped motors...
you can make small cars fast... dont knock them because one day you could get whooped by a k car

there was one locally (where i used to live) that ran 12's. crazy little car. It was a turbo spring i do believe from the factory, he picked it up for 400$. he turned the cold start injector into a extra injector, and last i seen it (street car keep in mind), i seen the front grill cut out and a little bit of the turbo showing. I dont keep in contact with that group anymore, so i dont know any 'updates'.
so dont go being too quick to judge them all ,kid.
there was a turbo sprint , and suzuki swift
there is a couple around here that run 12's , the guys that own them also ride super bikes
plus wrong fourm , boost fourm is for the cav's and fires , not sprints , other cars is for that

That's the engine in a Storm wagon I found online way back. The Storm was based on the Impulse, remember? And since the Impulse RS was turbo - and AWD
- it just seems like the right thing to do.

this thread is so gay........................ u do realize those cars can be really fast right? ummm like faster then a jbody with less money invested into them? iv seen them run 13s and 12s ALOT at the track. I have yet to see a jbody run 12 around here.
but i guess your sunbird is only good for smoke shows

when i said *around here* i ment to say around my area.
There is a guy that broke into the high 13s in a cavalier but thats about it.
also when you passed him with your van was he racing or just driving? i passed a 911 porsche on the highway once. but i'm quite sure he would have smoked my cavy if he wanted to, however he just wanted to drive the speed limit.
either way l believe it's all about power to weight ratio. there was a video on streetfire where they took a smart car or whatever those little 2 seaters are and put a motorcycle engine in it and it toasted a ferrari, i think, in the 1/4. less than a $13,000 car vs $100,000+ car.
i got the same crap for trying to build up my cavalier too.
