Turbo 2200 Advice needed........... PLEASE

Hey guys,

just got back from a healthy weekend at the track .....

ran a 14.224 @ 102.01 mph with a 2.3s 60' ....... all at 5.5 psi of boost.....

I have a garrett t3 with 3" exhaust... etc...... with 330cc injectors with afpr and fmu.......

Got them idling very smooth at 24psi idle pressure......

The car runs great with them in.............. only thing I have a question about is spark and timing....

I just turned it up to 11psi or so with an afr of about 11.4:1 at WOT smooth transition to boost and back out......... great afr's......

do I need to go 1 step colder with the plugs........(again) I heard the rule of thumb of "every 5 psi requires 1 step colder"....

is this true....

second....

do I need to be worried about timing (94 octane gas)

or will the stock computer take care of it ...........

That every 5 psi rule is , what happens when you go 20+psi...you can't get plugs that cold
Also, if you're not knocking, leave the timing and fuel alone

i ran 12psi for a couple days no problem, i could probably used 2 step colder plugs, because i was only using 1 step colder plugs...

i'd say just run it what you'd normally run it daily, until you can get HPT and some dyno time to make some real power

OHV FTW

I have a 2001 cavalier with a t3/t4. I am currently running 14.1 @ 11 PSI at 96-98 mph each run. I had full timing, 91 octance gas, octane boost and air fuel of about 11.8:1 to about a max of 12.7:1 and when I left the track and went out on the hiway I needed timing pulled on the way home.

Hey decent times.................. they should be in the 13's with 11psi though ................

and 12.7 is rather lean for a stock internalled motor..........

hows the motor holding up and for how long have you been at 11

but thanks for the input ..
