2 Step with HP Tuners
Wednesday, September 06, 2006 10:43 PM
I have looked into do 2 Step with HP Tuners, but haven't quite figured it out. I searched, but minimal results. Does anyone happen to know how to do it on the HP Tuners Software? If nobody knows, it's ok. Eventually my mechanic will. Thanks in advance.

I think you can do it with the automatics, there is a P/N rev limiter that I have yet to get to work w/ a manual trans equiped car. Not saying it cant be done though.

No Chris , i think he means like a two step rev limiter, so he can bang off the limiter in first before launching ..

Like Evos and Supras do at the line.

Hmmm.... I SWEAR I saw a table like that in HPT... something for launching...

I need to get a look at it again.

So it'd be something like say I wanted to have a consistent launch at say 3500RPM I could set the first rev limiter at 3500RPM and then have my regular redline at 6K or whatever? Interesting.

Launch Spark Timing, not really a 2 step.

I really don't think you can do it with HPT, like Brian said, maybe on the Auto's you could use the P/N limiter, but even then I'm not sure you'd get the results you are looking for.

Can't do it with the 5spds. Hence why i'm keeping my dis-2.

Blew it up, build numbers coming soon

Jersey kid is right. I want to stage my rev and let it rip when the light turns green. I will give the PN rev limiter a try and see if it's effective. If I can't do it, I guess I'm selling HP Tuners, because that is the main reason why I got it. We shall see what happens.

Adler,

You already know I'm copying. You need to come to the track with me on Sunday. I will be making my debut.

Everybody, thanks for the help.

Darius, I think that you need to keep the HP Tuners. Let Mike do some more tuning with it on the dyno and see what happens. If you really want the 2 step option, it might be a good idea to invest in a MSD DIS-2.
What track are you going to on Sunday?

Uh oh...I might have to pass on going to the track on Sunday. I will probably be going to the "jiggly room" that night......Its time for me to pull out the $1s and $20s
