ok one last question

in this box of parts i have, what i think to be the sending unit for the digital boost guage from the cobalt, note the colored wires that match 2 of the 4 wires on the guage ( the other two i assume are for power?)

dont mind the messy routing of lines i just did it for a pic to see if you guys know if that is correct or not?

the gague is useless , it runs off the stock computer

and the part on the vacuum line is connected to the boost control solonoid , 100% useless on the J's

but waht about the line above the steering pump?

The line above the power steering pump is part of the evap system. It should connect directly to the intake manifold.

you should add some vacume fitting to your TB adapter that your making and run that evap from there as your not gonna want to tap that manifold imo. The port on the top of the manifold is the only one on it. Run your vacume line from that to the FPR. WHen you get another boost gauge you can "t" that line off and use it for the gauge as well.

I'll clarify a bit:
I'm not sure if it goes directly to the manifold when supercharged. Only stock I know for sure goes on the intake manifold.

the evap line goes to the plate made for the tb

thanks, ill look into what i'm going to do for that, after mocking up a ls1 throttle body tonight and finding out it was way to big. i'm going to be looking into a possible donor from a v6. some of those have a vacum like on the tb i belive

picked up a fpr today. as well as found a local f body tuner shop that uses hp tuners.. (how i was able to mock up a ls1 tb)

weighing my options to just have him tune the car or buy the software myself. thinking i'm better off buying my own
