whats up with the titanium intakes?

why is it on all high HP cars theres a titanium intake running to the turbo?

I would imagine it has something to do with heat soak, but that wouldnt make sense since it gets nailed as soon as it leaves the comppressor.

the fact that it weighs next to nothing and is VERY strong so it can handle high boost...

Its just to show off mostly. Titanium is not any lighter than aluminum.

Also, if your aluminium pipe can't take 30psi and less it's because it's really really really ... really cheap.
