offically un boosted :(

Yep, you heard right. car is completely s/c less.

got the stock manifold port matched to my 62mm t/b(thanks brian). and running the stock intake set up (rk cold air extension). man it is slow. once u driven on 5 psi for 3 years you get used to pull. now it is weird. i will get used to it. i need a better intake( having a injen coming soon), and i think it will help out.

reasons- i can live with out it, track is 2 hours away, not one cavy guy in the area like i used to have b4 i moved, got busted racing a buddy on the street(able to get going way to fast real quick with the s/c), hate that check engine light (egr), 93 octane getting expensive, and the $ can be used elsewhere( built a new house with the wife).

so i will still surf this forum and offer any help i can with the s/c guys.

I must admit, I went boosted at a pretty poor time too due to gas prices but what can I say? I LOVE BOOST!

this is fricken weird and annoying.

first- i knew the fuel cut issue with the walbro, so i still have to fill up at half tank. i ran outta gas between a 1/4 tank and E. so i have to get a stock fuel pump.

next- 2nd o2 sensor code/ . i got the simulator from you eric. worked fine for 10k miles, or 5k miles. regardless i never seen a code.

NOW i get a code after WOT. the Red light on the simulator isnt blinking. only thing i am thinking is that clearing the check engine light each time i started it up made the computer not worry about other crap. and NOW the computer is normal, it see's that the sensor is working.

\
i just want a damn normal car again. arggh. almost there.

hmm the light should be blinking , atleast mine do

check and see if you didnt maybe blow a fuse , maybe talk with caspers if the light still doesnt blink , let me know if you need the part # for it

sucks about the fuel pump thing

That sucks man.I know how you feel about it being slow when you removed the s/c.When i took the vortech of my z24,it was a friggen pig.It couldnt get out of its own way.Good luck, and i hope you get those problems squared away.

i got a zz performance one coming soon, and another back up one from a friend. hopefully i get it worked out, i dont want to go to the exhaust shop again .

fuel pump- probably going to do something about it next month. there is a local guy that will lend me a hand. (keep in mind i live in the middle of no where). probably going to drop the tank and see what we find, and have the tools ready to cut the cup. i know a new pump is 300$, and i found a junkyard one for 55$. so i have to figure out what i want to do.

only issue/had with the s/c too, is when u take off it first it sometimes bogs and stumbles. i know it is running too rich at idle, as my base pressure with the walbro is 50 psi. kinda sucks in a drive threw . so i just go in.

i mean the car isnt that bad, i had a chance to reallly get on it tonight and i didnt mind it. i have to get rid of the stock intake set up, that is killing me. and i am going to try the water injection N/A. i think that will help with heat soak.

then i will race my buddy with the GM s/c and see how i do

thanks for the support/ posts, really means alot.

still waiting on my 02 simulator. should be here today hopefully.

had a annoying bogging issue with the car. basically taking off from a stop slow in first it bog then go.

i was clearing the CEL when it popped up for the 2nd o2 sensor, but the other day i left it on and it runs fricken sweet. just have to wait and hope the 02 simulator works and i will be one happpppy person. If not try another one that my buddy has. if them dont work, get a high flow cat and back to the exhuast shop. shouldnt cost me over 100$, but that is my dead last option.

and i need still a better intake, that stock set up is killing me. gas mileage is oustanding, but i am sure that has to do with not running double the stock fuel pressure at WOT.
