Is there a intercooler kit i can get that bolts up to the 04 cavalier?if so where can i get it?
thanks james
There is no
kit per-say, just multiple parts you have to source out and put together yourself. Its not sold as a whole in other words unfortunately.
Since when does a supercharger have an intercooler? Maybe im mixing up the terms buts its more of an after cooler for the SC.

No on a supercharged setup it IS a aftercooler.
Intercooler = before TB or intake point
Aftercooler= after TB or intake point
Since your cooling it after the S/C compresses it, depending on how you set it up, it is a aftercooler. However I suppose you could set it up either way.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

well lets see, Mustang cobra owners refer to it as an intercooler, Ford Lighting owners refer to it as an intercooler, Cobalt SS/SC owners, and Saturn Redline owners. Either way though I agree and kinda see it as the same however you look at it...its a cooler.
Ive only heard it called Aftercooler. Then again, i am not a fan of Ford, Or saturn, so that explains that.

Yea Kia fans are in a class of their own.
I love your maturity level. Kia was only my second car, so i gather that your cavy is your first. You too will upgrade eventually, Like i have. I love my Infinity I 30.

Back to the point I guess....
You will have to make a custom setup beyond the ability of the other tool in this post.
air-cooler ??
make somethign up, need some hoses, a rad, and a pump.. maybe a small resivor
HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED
i dont think ive ever seen aaron be a dick in a thread...kinda weird!
when you buy the cooler, wont it be called an intercooler by the manufacturer regardless of your setup??
Look for an intercooler from a ford Lightning or mustang cobra, you will also need the coolant pump and some hoses. you will have to custom weld mounting brackets as well.

You could always use tie wraps and radiator hose clamps. Some heavy duty tie wraps from Home Depot will hold my inter/aftercooler.
well i am new to all of this, and i am trying to educate my self as i go here, but i am assuming you are talking about a water to air kind of coolant system. but my question is, how would you go about mounting this to the s/c? i would think like in a block, its all there already, just attatch the hoses and you are good, but on a s/c, they are not correct?

the charger has a manifold that it mounts to, the manifold has the cooling cores inside it just needs a pump and heat exchanger

Shouldn't you be able to SPELL the name of the car maker, if you own one?
I'm fairly positive it's Infiniti...but what do I know I'm just a lowly J driver
