custom setup, will prolly be cheaper than a kit anyway. and then you can say YOU DID IT

Definately custom setup. I want to say another company makes a turbo for the ln2, but I can't remember.

Anywhoo, custom would make you learn about everything you're putting under your hood. Knowledge is power.

Why can't you use the gm s/c?

I was under the impression that he had the ln2, not the ecotec. In that case, disregard my last post.

If you want the supercharger, you have to do a fuel rail conversion. I believe the Paceparts kit for the 2002 Ecotecs comes with all the necessary equipment for it. It's a bit more expensive. You might be better off buying the 03+ fuel rail seperately, and then buying the Paceparts kit for the 03+ Cavaliers/Sunfires.

this is silly, if he has the 02 ld9 then there is the gm charger

if he has the 02 ecotec there is the gm charger

just be careful of the auto, i HEAR they like to self destruct on boost, but i havent experienced this so blah

Yes, but I was thinking he had the ln2 for some reason.

I also hear the same thing about the autos.

Seeing as he can't even spell Ecotec (check his user info)...

i thought that the gm charger for 03-05 wouldnt work for 02 even if u did the fuel rail swap and everything because of the reflash would not work right

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I can think of two people with the '02 ECU. If it is a problem, you could find an 03-05 ECU at a salvage yard.

Killling the myths....

My auto runs just fine under boost. Why would gm make an auto specific reflash if they thought it would not work.

Second yes you can run the GM charger on the 02. You need an 03 rail, injector spacers, 03 FPR, and hard lines from the fuel rail. The reflash works the exact same on an 02 ecu.

That is what GM said initially. Now it has been proven that it will indeed work with an 02 as long as you swap the Fuel rail, lines, FPR, before the reflash. The kit is actually sold with these additional items for an 02 at 02 Eco Charger

Uh...it works just fine! I have a 2002 and I have been running the Eco charger for about 2 months now....I thought this was already a known fact it worked?

Hmmm...well hit me up if you have any questions but like everyone has said....fuel rail, lines, FPR and spacers and you'll be good to go.

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
