I got 2004 sunfire, I just bought the gm sc and have it on, I was thinking I'd buy header next to finish off my exhaust...what else should I buy I have about 1000bucks to spend after the header...I was thinking about getting a smaller pulley but can't find one...any websites
Blah I don't know just throw any ideas at me...
Heh I saw your post about that, 200 right? I kinda want to get the backseat speaker box replacement because my subbox is pretty heavy and then I could at least still have my subs but not have them wiegh as much...I just don't know if I could not have a backseat
I would get a header and maybe a tb a larger one atleast . and if you have 100.00 maybe a wet nitrous system... LOL
horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, Torque is how far you push the wall with you
Nah no nitrous lol, ya I'm ordering the header next tuesday when I get paid
Should I get the rksport one or do you think I should get a different one?
Get a Pacesetter. It's cheaper, and just as good. Plenty of people on this website, myself included have gone with the Pacesetter 4-1 Header. I bought mine from www.turbotechracing.com.
Eh I don't like pacesetter I've heard bad things my bf and my dad are completly against them too
i kust order the s/c. do they have a smaller pulley?

Pacesetter 4-1 ceramic coated have NO ISSUES
I can take a pic of mine if you want!!! If it can survive a canadian winter without a spot of rust...... It's the painted one that cause trouble, when people install it without repainting/coating it. Sometimes it's better to trust the jbo than your family

So true, my step bro told me to buy an MSD 6AL. Turns out, it wouldn't work with my motor. The JBO was there for me though. ::sniff:: *tear*
JBO= is my family!! No problems!! THough i do get lonely in my cubicle some nights.... *sigh*
would there be a market for a real header? not these pacesetter junks u guys use. im talking stepped primaries with a true 2.5 inch burns collector.

and how would you know that the pacesetter ceramic coated header for the ecotec is junk ?
I'm really interested to hear this
15.574 @ 89 mph stock without charger. new times with charger coming soon.
What about instead of getting an intercooler...I hooked up my ac to the sc...It was my dads idea I don't know how he thoguht it could be done but wouldn't it work just as well if nto betteR?
Wow sorry I cannot type tonight!!
take a look at it, it uses supersmall primaries and a crap collector that is way under 2.5 inches.
for a supercharged application flowing much more cfm than stock its only natural youd want to run a larger diam. primarie and a collector with a true 2.5 inch outlet possibly flared to 3 inch.
it might be fine for a low hp all motor setup but when you s/c your piece youd really benefit from a s/c specific header.
maybe ill build one, and send that and a pacesetter to a member here to do back to back dyno testing, and then you can tell me whithy uor own mouth why the pacesetter header is junk.
funny I heard that the collector was 3". On gravanatuning.com they say the header has a 2 1/4" collector. Now I'm confused.
I hope someone who has the header will chime in and tell us what it is. For my supercharged eco I'm definitely going with a header that has at least a 2.5" collector.

exactly. min. 2.5 inch collector or youll strangle the poor thing.
in the honda world, pacesetter stuff is lower than dog@!#$. i cant imagine their stuff for you guys is much better, or maybe its just the fact you dont have many options to compare it to.
ive got an rksport 4-2-1 header with downpipe that im looking to get rid of if i can ever get the intake to my turbo set up on here so i can start tuning my stuff.
If you want a 2.5" outlet you find someone who's good at welding, you make him cut the "downpipe" and then weld a 2.5" tube, I'm pretty sure that the pipe at the donut is big enough for that. And FOR GOD SAKE, it's not because Pacesetter sucks on honda that it's the same thing for J-BODIES. Not the same design, not the same engine. Feel free to make a header for the eco and then post the result in the performance forum, but don't try to destroy a company that have such a high reputation for ecotec headers. Back to the topic please. Alicia want suggestions on what to do next on her car now that it's s/c'd. We don't want another post that turn to hell.
Honestly the best header on the market is the pacesetter because its ceramic coated and its a 4-1 design as opposed to a less powerful 4-2-1
If you have to chose something else just get the Tsuedo 4-2-1 off ebay for 150 and then get it ceramic coated, ceramic coating is a must, either that or header wrap engine heat kills power
Speaking of cooling , do the intercooler heat exchanger off the cobalt its a huge gain and not that hard to install and its something that should be included with the kit as far as most of us are concerned anyway just something GM skipped out on
as stated 2.5 inch exhaust will be the best
some type of short ram intake will work nicely along with a larger throttle body, stock intake is very restrictive
AC to SC, no, nice thought, no practicality, the power you lose buy turning on the AC will never be regained by a minor temputure reduction, if it worked we would all have done that by now
Proper ignition to run is an MSD setup, steps are on my website, proper equipment list for it also
consider alcohol injection, theres alot of setups on the market and these seem to work really well with roots blowers such as your m62, www.coolingmist.com has them, theres a bunch of other sites, remember 150psi pump at a m4 or m5 injector, always use at least 50% distilled water in any combination you run
Cams are out in blower grinds but nobody really has tested them
Proper supporting mods, engine mounts upper and lower, and tranny mounts
All that stuff and you should be about as efficient as possible with some nice power

rodimus, thats what im saying, you guys have wicked limited choices, you say the pace setter is the best, but thats also compared to @!#$ ebay headers. tseudo and others with a 4-2-1 design is made from tin can metal and the primaries are too small, and the collectors are not true collectors.
my gripe here is with the fact that a s/c'ed motor flows much more cfm than a n/a piece therefore it would really benefit from a larger and possibly stepped primarie and a real shallow angle merge collector that exits at exactly 2.5 inches welding a 2.5 inch pipe to the pacesetter may help, but its not optimal by any means.
thats what im saying.
mock something up ccfab.. you start making us good quality parts at a decent price people will pay, just sucks that only a handufl are willing to pay for good @!#$

pacesetter for the win then... hahaa
