well, i just got a turbo in today from ssautochome. its a t3/t4 hybrid internal wastegate. the only thing im having problems with is i cant get the compresser side to face down without blocking the wastegate. the closest i can get it is to face the fans. will that work or is there any sort of remedy? secondly, there are to nipples on the wastegate, i have no idea what the second on is for. is called a v-band. any help would be appreciated.
Well first, you can move the wastegate, thats why there are threads on the actuator.
Second, you should have put some research into what you were buying before you purchased it, SSAutoChrome is the worst thing you can buy when it comes to turbo's and turbo headers.

i agree on ssautochrome being crap but i've hear talks that their turbos are improved...but then again i dont know first hand
like the other kid said...can you clock the compressor housing to face the way you want? also you could switch over to an external wastegate and get a shop to cut and weld a wg flange onto your manifold

ive seen numerous ssac 50/63s lasting a logn ass time and making pretty good numbers. 189 dollars new for the win.
hmmm, that actually sounds like a good idea. all i would have to do is by a exhaust piece for the turbo that seals up the wastegate hole correct? and the turbo looks to be in fantastic condition by the way, no shaft play and free spin on the fans.
rotate the @!#$ outta everything, just make sure the oil feed is on top and the oil return is on the bottom.
I have heard awful things about these turbos, but first hand, I have seen them work very well. :shrug
v-band is just for the exhaust, pending your exhaust outlet, 2.5 or 3", they work super well and allow for some movement without leaking, good choice...

what are the two nipples on the wastegate for though, i know the top connects to the compresser house but there is a nipple on the bottem side of the wastegate that i have no idea what it goes to. im thinking i should just block it off.
