What coolant pump are you using (ICing eco s/c) ?

Sup guys, I already ordered a cobra heat exchanger and cobra reservoir, now all I need is the coolant pump, coolant, buy a few hoses and install that @!#$.

I was wondering what pump do you recommend using ? I know the lightning one from ebay will work, but north of the border here it would run me a pretty penny (about 160 $ US), so I'd like to know what are the other options and how much they cost...

thanks for any help...

I'm checking them out now on zzperformance.com.

I haven't found one in the cobalt/ion section...

But I did find some in the grand prix section... are those the ones you're talking about ? If so, is this one the one you're using ?

"Pump 4 is a GM pump used on GM cars with liquid to air intercooler systems. It is the quietest, longest lasting pump you can buy. The GM pump has reliability high enough to install without and external relay! Being a centrifugal pump, it will not work well in systems with lines, fittings, or cores that have internal diameters less than ½”.

* 6 GPM actual flow in unrestricted systems
* Weighs 13 ounces
* Draws 2 amps continuous
* Removable power connector included
* ¾” inlet and outlet
* Noise level 1
* 1 year warranty"

that one is 139.99 $

no one knows the part number for the cobaltss/ion redline coolant pump ?

I just called my dealer, and all he found was the water pump for the engine coolant, quoted me 250 $ lol. He seemed to say it was the only pump on the cobalt ss.

any help would be great

its not listed with the rest of the cooling stuff

ok walked the guy to the correct part. he even faxed the intercooling diagram to me. quoted me 800 $ on the coolant pump (yes with two zeroes after the "8").

that does it.

I just bidded on a F150 Lightning electronic coolant pump for 80 $. with the brokerage fees and all, should run me no more than ordering from zzperformance and I don't see why the lightning pump wouldn't be a quality product...
