gm s/c?

in the process of wanting more boost i was curious if the wastegate type ordeal that it has was able to have a boost controller somewhat hooked up to it so the gate wouldnt open allowing it to bleed it back to the intake..

Look onto the Cobaltss.net forums they have bypass instructions for the boost bypass valve.

This is why I never recommend the GM charger, eventually you ARE gonna want more boost, and the only way to get it is pullies and alcohol.

I'm trying to picture the bypass valve and how it works on the S/C... I was under the impression it worked as a wastegate but a bit differently.... it's open at idle and when you hit 0 vac it shuts to allow the air to pass through the supercharger rotors, making max boost. The difference between the turbo and S/C being max boost on my turbo is around 30 psi and the GM charger with that pully at those RPM's is only 5.5-6 psi....

Or am I misunderstanding that completely? I don't see how you could bleed off boost to get more boost, like you would with a wastegate setup.
