which would be my best bet for turboing my ld9 internaly wastgated or external?
well from wat ive read internal is more prone to boost spikes and external arent, yet a good external will prolly cost double wat a good internal will cost, external holds high boost better too, chekc out ebay seller down2turbo and he sells rebuilt garrett turbos with internal wastegates for about 350 shipped. its really up to you though
Low boost applications, an internal wastegate is just fine. Add in a nice boost controller (aka not a ball valve style) and boost spikes are a thing of the past. I never spiked mine without a boost controller, and with the boost controller there is no falloff and reduced lag.
