i am at the stage where i want to turbo my 01 ld9 cavi but want to do it right. what internals will i need to hold up to around 300 hp that i intend to push to it. Brand names would be nice. i went to a shop and they wanted 26 hundred for a top end rebuild and 9000 for a rebuild and a turbo. seems to be alot cheaper to do it yourself

I dont think you really even need to touch the topend if all you want is 300hp, throw a good intercooled turbosetup on there, forged rods/pistons in the bottom end and you should be good for 300 safely.

that what i ment sry bout that. but thats about it then just forged rods and pistons. plus i have a sort of ticking prob. i took it to a machanic and he said timing chain sounds like it is slapping around. engine runs great but when i did an oil change there were some metal shavings. anyone have this prob before?

an ld9 needs pistons and rods and if you take care of it you should be able to run 300 for a while problemfree.
