hey guys after getting my TPS problem fixed up im not thinking about selling the 2.6 pulley im running and only seeing 6 psi from due to the p&p head flowing so well and getting the 2.5" pulley, do you guys think it would be worth it or would i see no differance? i mean its not like im overspinning the charger right now so any comments to help me decide are welcome.
After talking to Jimmy99, he said his 2.5 produced way more heat. The only reason he uses it is b/c his s/c has been ported out a lot. Otherwise he said its not really worth it.
hope that helps. Btw...did u end up replacing ur tps for the fix ?

yep replaced the TPS and actually it seems to run alot better all around for some reason or maybe its because i havent heard the whine in about a week haha, id like to get mine ported out sometime but im kinda too lazy to take the charger out and fool with metal shavings in the charger. how exactly do you guys port the mani holes cause theres rubber o rings there, not a big gasket.
I would say do it. You have a built moter.

if u are running alcohol i would say it would be ok. even so the pulley is only 69 bucks...... i just upgraded to the 2.6 from the 2.7
Sorry...

what research is there to do really, i mean im only seeing around 6 psi with a p&p head and pulling super hard so im guessing my 6 psi is like a stock head on 10psi
A while ago someone posted about how much the m45 could spin max........and then they calculated that the 2.6 was either just over the max rate or right at it.
To me the 2.5 is a waste....even though its only like 69 bucks...............
Car is for Sale!Supercharger kit is for sale!
yeah im aware of the rpm's the chargers spinning with the 2.6 but didnt think it would be as much since im seeing less boost but having more power cause of the p and p'd head.
there is a few people running the 2.5 they have had the supercharger ported.
Sorry...

so im guessing a 2.6 pullet nets 10 psi normally?
if thats the case, and you have a p&p head, then somethings wrong. just because your head flows more air, it doesnt mean your charger is going to produce less boost. youll just see a gain in hp/per lb of boost.
What do you mean, I have heard many instances that people have dropped boost because of a p&p head. If you could bring food in and sh*t it out smoother and with less restriction dont you think the tank of food that your grabbing out of would run out faster?
the only possible way that could happen is if the head flows more cfm than the charger, i know a ported and polished cavy head doesnt break 300cfm of flow which indicates that blower is severly undersized if that is the case.
boost is the measure of air resistance as it flows . open up the port and the resitance will be less but the volume will be greater. the charger will LOOK like its not doing as much but in reality its doing it more efficiently. i saw a 1lb drop in boost on a guage when i ported my head but the performance increased.
