Yes, its another request for intercooler piping pics!!
I just got my intercooler... I was looking under the car today wondering how im going to run these pipes, and I just dont see it happening! lol, yes i search, and I have seen the pics.... but all the posts are either about a 2.4 a 2.2 or a manual!!! I havent found one about the 2.2L Ecotec Automatic Turbo'ed....
I hope to get millions of pics of intercooler set up on automatic ecotecs that are turboed!
i have a 05 sunfire
P.S. This is my first post as a premium member !!

why 2.5" piping?
I dont know your plans with your car but if you just want a fast daily driver you wont be needing a huge turbo with huge pipes. If you do 2" piping you can fit it under the car actually. It is very tight but I have measured.
I want to make the saab setup fit an auto, but I have not found anyone local that is willing to pay for parts to have their auto eco turbo.

i have big plans
big big plans... i am going to be building the motor/tranny later this year after i have 15 psi running smoothly... after that im uping it to 20-25 and maybe some nitrious i dont know... we will see :O i want a automatic fast mofo
but anyways, 2.5 is what o want.... saab auto ecotec pipes run through where? under the car? side of the motor? where is the hot side pipes(driver or passenger)? cold side (driver or passenger)? if saab turbo's came in auto's i can look for those pics....
thanks for the input.....
anyone else??
there has to be another -turbo'ed -intercooled -automatic -ecotec!!! let me know! give me pics!!!

I want to design charge pipes that fit. That's what I was saying. I want to make them routed the same way my manual tranny pipes are ran, but just change the part that goes under the engine a little. My manual pipes run hot side under the engine-passenger side-intercooler-drivers side-throttle body.
the stock saab piping will not fit. Also the stock saab piping is 2" so if you really want 2.5" then it wont work for you.

so if you design them you are designing 2" ??

correct. 2 inch
The saab 9-3t has a mitsubishi td4 or a garrett 2052S which are both similar in output. The turbos are small so that they spool fast. They make for a VERY fun daily driver. The setup is capable of 13's with 6psi. The reason for that is because you make more power throught the entire rpm band rather than all at the top.
The turbo pushes out 15psi easily.

so two an a half inch isnt really neccesary unless making big power? i was planning on using two and a half but would like to go with two inch instead if there is no major power difference
Brandon, I'd volunteer if I was still in Arizona.
i need a company like that in florida!
pics anyone ??

For anyone wondering, 2.5" charge pipes will be just fine for even low boost. Many people, including myself, use 2.5" and still make good power. You may or may not notice a difference in spool time with smaller piping, but it'll be minimal if anything.
