Powder coating

I have a question for all those who powder coated some engine parts.(like an HO manifold or timing chain cover)..how did you keep the sealing surfaces from getting paint on them, or did you?

Tape them up? Its just like paint, whatever you don't want painted, you mask off.

No, you pull the tape off before you bake it.
