ummm so Im kinda worried about even asking this .....but here it goes....
Im doing my charge pipes and I came to a realization that My adapter tube for my bov is missing. (I bought it a year ago) worst par was it came with the sealnt tube and the snap pin.
anywho. my freind is a plumber and he has an industrial solderer. he told me besides heat its very stong. its leak proof to about 100psi. so I wondering what the consesus about using an industrial solder to seal my bov to the flange and the flange to the pipe.
btw I dont really care about the bov its a 30 dollar peice from ebay. as long as it works Im happy.
thanks

Yeah, it might work. Just make sure it is fluxed first. And dont hit it. Better yet. Get go to a welding supply and get some brazing rod. It will be 3 times as strong as a soldered joint. In fact brazing is almost as strong as welding in some cases. But yes, if done right it would be fine.
actually it can work if done properly... i was reading a welding book and was surprised to learn how tuff certain types of solder can be. I wouldn't use it to make a charge pipe, since those can have stress on them from engine movement, but for an unloaded part like a BOV? Should work fine...
