Just wondering. My cars gonna be down for a bit, and I'm debating wether or not to go with forged internals for the gm s/c kit w/ the 2.6 pulley. Basically I'm open to suggestions on what to do. I'm either gonna drop money into building the engine, or just doing the rest of the show mods I wanna do. I've got the 2.6 pulley sitting in my closet waiting to go on, I'm just waiting to get some bodywork done. I've got a stock exhaust right now besides a raven muffler, but pacesetter should still have a header sitting aside for me plus they owe me a 2.5 inch catback for free. Just want opinions, on wether or not it's wirth it to drop the money into ripping open the engine to forge everything out, or just slap on a header back, and rock the 2.6
open to suggestions.
btw. car is a 2000 pontiac grand am w/ of course an LD9

if your engine is in 100% working order then no dont mess with it..
do more mods then worry about the engine.
no..... money would be best spent on mods. Do stuff like light pulleys, cams, maybe a p&p on the head if you wanna get a lil extra out of the motor. hptuners would help free some power up with alcohol injection. the timing on the motors is super low so thats where you could get some good gains too.

I think your besat bet would be finish your exhuast. If you are going to be running a 2.6 I think alky injection would be money well spent.

yeah, I plan on finishing the exhaust and getting alky before doing the 2.6
just questioning wether or not to go with forged pistons/rods and headwork.
thinking about hptuners, do they have programming available for the reflashed grand ams?
