as you all know ive been having trouble with the s/c on my friends 04 ecotec. but this time i have a different question. while installing i noticed in the directions it says that the kit will take the car to about 250 hp.....which is close to 11 lbs of boost.....
yet on the website it says the kit pushes the car to 200 hp (like 6 psi).....much less then the directions say.
so what is the actual hp and psi this gm sc is pushing? and he has no supporting mods on his car yet.....no header or exhaust, simply the bolt on kit with injectors.
now i have trouble believing that a sc is going to put 11 psi on that stock engine....but maybe im wrong...i dont know the ecotec motors well.
and i did search for this, and i found nothing in the stickes....
thanks all!

9-11 psi is what people are seeing
and im assumming an ecotec stock bottom end can hold that alright? i dont want to blow my friends car up while he is gone...

then get the reflash done
seeing 12 psi at redline here...
15.574 @ 89 mph stock without charger. new times with charger coming soon.
Remember, psi is a relative term. You can have a large turbo or supercharger pushing 4 psi and have the same amount of horsepower as a smaller turbo or supercharger pushing 8 psi.
nobody knows the long term impacts of the Gm supercharger on an ecotec, I have the RSM on mine ive never seen more than 7psi in the time ive had it which is about 25,000 miles and the motor is at 93,000 with at least 150 dragstrip passes, last dyno was 185whp which is about 15 hp off the GM supercharger #s so theres not too much difference

Funny I think Airtonics ran a SC eco for quite sometime (about 30,000 miles) before he went to the much smaller pulley and had issues, which included running it daily on the streets, autoxing it, drag racing it and having a general good time with his car. And has also posted one of the quickest time with the SC eco to this point...
Car last fall was putting down 218whp with the stock exhaust and stock pulley, so I think that it has proven itself that if you keep the boost low, no problems.
