well guys, i have a port and polished head, 2.6 pulley, windsheild washer injection (8% meth, 92 water is all i could find at the moment) and i have checked all the T fittings and such i fooled with from the charger to the fpr to the boost line and then from the boost line to the boost switch on the injection and everything seems fine, im pulling about 22 psi vac at idle. when i take off hard ill see 4 psi instantly then the car switches gears and it goes to 3 psi and stays there through the gears, i knew i would see less psi because of the port and polished head but isnt this alittle much? im thinking it might be the fluid im using for the injection but i dont know. comments anyone?
check your boost bypass valve , make sure its fuctioning properly and not miss adjusted
what were you seeing before the ported head ?
and is the psi any different with the alky off ?
dam that is messy
first thing i recomend is to clean all that up , and see how it goes after you clean it up
the boost bypass is that big black thing on the s/c , with the vacuum line going into it , and a arm coming off of it
also if that is your alky nozzle in the top of the blue part on your intake , you might get a problem with puddling fluid , since it has to make a 90 bend to get into the tb
best is a straight shot
on mine im using 1/8 rubber line and hard plastic t's similar to the stuff in the area of your air filter , and zip tie each hose connection , just to make sure they dont leak
some of those vaccum lines look a little questionable, i hope that isnt tape

run the vacum lines properly then check the boost again
Sorry...

whats the proper ways guys, im using 2 T fittings.
no tape would be a good start
oh and those white plastic lines for the gauge check if there is a kinky in it anywhere cause it easily kinks. it happen to me yesterday, and it was only reading 2psi and 10lbs of vacuum. then i found the kink and it read normal
Sorry...

how do you check to make sure the bypass valve is working properly. I am having the same problem....I have the 2.6" pulley and am only seeing 6psi with meth injection.....

use some windsheild washer tubing. that makes for some nice vaccum hose. i use it.
how do you check the boost bypass valve and what am i looking for on it that could be wrong?

yea I wanna know this too....I have no idea what to look for to make sure its working correctly

there is 2 screws that hold it to the s/c case , if they are loose it will allow the by-pass valve to move around
which changes the angle on the valve inside the s/c
well i went out and checked the screws on the bypass valve and they seem to be right, i also felt around the fittings and all to make sure there was no leaking or anything and the vac is still good at 22 at idle but the boost is way off, i used to be able to rev the car up at idle and see around 4 psi but now im lucky to see 1 psi going down the road, it seems like the car pulls real hard sometimes and then other times it doesnt, im stumped once again guys. the boost switch is set to come on around 3-4 psi (set this when it was working fine) and i dont even hear it pumping (pumps in the trunk and i have the backseat down) when i get on it so the gauge must be reading the boost right cause it doesnt compare to what the pumps doing.
you do a boost leak test on it? them vaccum lines are pretty ghetto.
when i did a boost leak test on mine ( my bro has for his dsm a pvc cap thingy and a tire stem on it, so u just hook up the compressor to it like you are pumping up a tire and listen for leaks. only thing i heard was the air bleeding off from the FMU, and my boost switch clicking.).
like i said, re do all the vaccum lines with the correct stuff from start to finish and i bet it is back to normal.
found the problem, had a cracked looking t fitting so thats fixed and im seeing only 5 psi with the injection but it pulls like a raped ape again, the p&p head must be flowing real good to be pulling the way it does and only keeping 5psi of boost, 2.5 might be next.
knew it had to something simple
glad its back to normal
do you guys think i should order the 2.5 pulley since im not seeing high boost as it is or would it be pointless? my boost level is hard to explain because it sounds wimpy only pushing 5 psi with the 2.6 pulley but it pulls as if i have around 9 or so id think.
