This is for those of you who doubt the power of the new GMPP Supercharger. I have a quick story.
So, BlueDeuce is a wuss. He never gets on it when I'm in the car. I helped him install a GM SC and he jokingly said I could drive it when it was done. Done took another week because he misplaced his injector spacers when we swapped his '02 fuel rail out for an '03. So he found his things and got the reflash and dammit if that thing didn't scream.
I got a little butt-hurt, Deuce told me I could drive it. Here it is a few weeks gone now and I have seen it everywhere and from every possible angle except from the drivers seat. Well... I got him a little drunk and he just handed them keys on over to me. German Beer is like moonshine. I had myself in the drivers seat, 250lbs, Deuce, 200ish lbs, Jeremy in the backseat 175lbs... Deuce also has a 400lb stereo in the trunk.
First things first he tells me I owe him 10 bucks if I stall the car. I'm on a hill and he has a Spec Stage 3 clutch and a lightened flywheel... I either get the rev's up enough so I peel out in his neighbors driveway or I try and pussy-foot it out. If you've never driven a car with a hard ass clutch like this... it'simpossible. Let's say I owe him something like 30 bucks. His wife was laughing at me, it's cool tho, I'm a sniper. I finally get out of this dig and begin my exciting journey into "dummy land". Keep in mind Deuce is pretty drunk. We get out of the neighbor hood and on to the "proving grounds" and I'm going up-hill with a buncha fat asses and a stereo from hell in third gear and it's pulling like first does in my car.
I get up the hill, around a corner and clear the trees... I see a big field and a slightly windy road for about 2 miles and Deuce says... "Well, bitsh, go!" I stop the car, put it into first and dum the car at something ridiculous like 5,000RPM, smoke and noise for 3 gears and then 4 hits and I'm screaming like a little girl getting chased at the park. I am starting to shake in the legs and my hands are trembling... I LOVE BURNING RUBBER!! Easily the most fun I have ever had in any car ever. I got headed back to the house, had to turn around. I stopped big mistake. I stalled it once from turning around and then again when I had to stop at an intersection. Stage 3 is tight like a tiger. He said I drove his car harder than hell. I hit the rev limiter going through gears at least twice. It was badass.
Just so no one freaks out at me and thinks this was me goofing off on the street, lemme clear something up. We live in Germany, home of das Autobahn!!!!
Who's jealous? Go ahead lemme hear ya whine!
...and for the record...I wasn't "that" drunk!!
Glad you had fun!! I don't drive it that hard for some reason but you sure made up for it in one run!!!
haha...that's ok....you enjoyed it!
...and again, I wasn't that drunk! At least I didn't stall it coming out of the garage!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
my little brother has one of those Stage 3 clutches. I feel your pain, its either GO or STOP there is no casual slippage and acceleration.
You get used to them after a few days of driving.
Glad you had fun.

I have that clutch in my car. I dont have any problems driving it but then again i got the stock flywheel. nice to hear about your joy ride.

Chris is actaully the only person other than my wife that has drove the car...and she hasn't since it's been supercharged!
She hates the clutch though
Plus she has a Mini Cooper S now so she has a supercharger

lightened flywheel + stage 3 clutch = lots of laughs at other people stalling ur car
believe me, I know first hand
i used to stall my friends 99 Z24 everyonce and a while
i still think my cav has a bit more feel to it , than my g/fs , but both are alot of fun
and screw you guys and you autobahn crap ,
the s/c's are a blast , glad you got a taste of some fun
ha ha welcome to the club of non stop smiling!
im going to by a house soon but i plan to get that clutch and a nice flywheel aswell
so when should we expect a "BOOSTED" thread from you
whaa and you probably haven't felt half of what the car is capable, since the whole thing weighed what, 3600 lbs with all of you in it and the stereo
15.574 @ 89 mph stock without charger. new times with charger coming soon.
I love stories like this. I whish there were more of them.

Kick azz is my boost hero!!! "
Don't fret fellas, there shall be more threads like this one soon, I am saving, once again, for my very own S/C kit. I am going for a more "ballz out" performance approach, kind of a modified "attack car" thing. I will be the heaviest thing in the car. I am super excited. I was trying to build toward the kit but dammit I want the boost here and now. I was gonna get the LSD, then the clutch and flywheel and then some decent tires but now... I just wanna have it at the house. I wanna know that once I'm built to have it I can just have it. I want to be able to wake up one morning and by the end of the day be screaming down the autobahn with my new VSS mod and the Charger sucking air through my AEM CAI, you know. I gotta buy the little things in order for the big things to work (elbows for CAI). I will be bugging all of you soon for fitment issues concerning the AEM I'm sure. WOO HOO, Autobahn!!
...and I will be there to install it with you...but we'll leave Pat at home since you don't want or need any wrenches dropped on the fender!
haha...j/k Pat...hell it matches the other side now!!!
When we doing those bushings bish?
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
