I have just came acrost a Saab Turbo, Manifold, and all the charge pipes and hardware to took it up to the Ecotec 2.2, minus the computer.
My question is this, how much would a decent prioce be for this setup?
Please let me know fast!!...My time is limited!!!!

It works fine...there are more factors that we do not have here, number of miles on the turbo? What did he do to the engine that he is selling it (totalled the car or blew it up). How long it has been dormant, state it was stored in etc.....

As long as its from a 2003, the manifold and turbo are a direct bolt on to a 2.2 Eco in a J Body.

This is a brand new turbo unit still in the box, from the factory, and still with the cosmaline stuff on it, Has been on the test engine only and then put into its box, all parts have been stored since, in a clean dry environment.
This person who has it uesd to work with Lotus, and was one of the engineers that desined the 2.0/2.2 Ecotec platform..and knows the designeers personally!! He knows the ins and outs of the engine very well.
He is the one that is selling it to me, how much would a decent price go on this turbo, and all its hardware?
Everything I need to put it on the engine, he has. Turbo unit, charge pipes, manifold(HE says bolts up with no problems), and other hardware needed for the change, except the computer. He did say mine would work with a reflash though(not exact on that).
I have seen this setup at the JCO Bash, and heard it at work! I know this has been done...whats a good price!

2000 bucks........is a good estimate.......i know brandoson is sellin his for that(because he is sellin his car to buy a truck)
but............. the one you are buying.
if its all factory.....the downpipe wont work on our cars......you need to have one made because of the angle due to our heater core lines.
if its factory charge pipes it wont work due to intercooler location.........saabs have alot more room in the front of the car. you would have to remove our radiator to fit the saab intercooler. and the pipes wont line up just right...plus they are mostly plastic.
but if its brandonsons current setup it will work just fine. I have the same setup.

Any more estimates on this...I know some fabrication, and moving is needed...
Any one else care to venture a cost?

well to give you a better estimate you are looking @
$ 400-1000 for the turbo and manifold
+ 200-400 for the intercooler
+ 250-300 for downpipe fabrication(includes pipes/flage/flex pipe)
+ 250-300 for charge pipe fabrication(includes pipe/ t-clamps/ silicone adapters)
+ 200-300 bucks for miscelaneous( Oil lines/ oil line fittings/ t/b adapter from saab/ oil lines/ drilling tapping pan)
+ 200-400 for the new tmap sensor and the reflash dependin on the stealership
depending on if you do it yourself add 500-800 labor to do the install

wow, i think your prices are off....WAY off, i got everything on that list for under 900$ plus a extra set of injectors, fmu, the reflash / sensor and gauges.....please tell me how did you get those prices
Not everyone wants to buy used parts. My prices are if you were to buy NEW items, not used parts. Not everyone wants used items. I do realize some may have gotten there setups for cheaper. But are you gonna sell your setup for 900 bucks? My prices were fair and conservative.
You can get the complete system for as cheap as 500 bucks if you luck out and know the right people. But if you dont and wanna piece one together here is what it will cost you. Now you may get lucky and find one @ a junkyard. But not everyone is so lucky.

$ 400-1000 for the turbo and manifold
if you were to go threw the junyard route, according to car-part.com you would be looking @ 400-800 bucks. if you want to buy new then you will be paying close to 1200 from the dealer. now the big price difference is between the 2 diff turbos. the garret and the mitsubishi.
Quote:
200-400 for the intercooler
Seeing as Johnny racecar went out of buisness or something, you will be looking @ 200-400 for an intercooler, depending on the route you want to go on.you can go super cheap and pay less but for a good quality you will be in the 200-400 range.
Quote:
+ 250-300 for downpipe fabrication(includes pipes/flage/flex pipe)
Lets see, unless you are a welder/fabricator you will have ot have it made. So lets see the usual labor rate is 65-80 bucks an hour depending on where you live some places cheaper. Then there is the the fitting of the pies, testing redoing and getting it to fit right.
plus making of your flange, as there isnt a readily made flange, the flex pipe....all this is in 2.5 btw
Quote:
+ 250-300 for charge pipe fabrication(includes pipe/ t-clamps/ silicone adapters)
Same as above, plus the added cost of t-clamp bolts, rubber silicone coupplers. its a good conservative estimate for a good looking system.

+ 200-300 bucks for miscelaneous( Oil lines/ oil line fittings/ t/b adapter from saab/ oil lines/ drilling tapping pan)
Seeing as not everyone gets everything with there setup, there are parts you need to buy, like the 8 dollar block fitting, the 20-30 dollar pre-made oil lines for the feed, the oil restrictor, miscelaneous -am fittings to the turbo from the line, 1/8npts and so on. the saab elbow for the t/b is about 60 bucks give or take, all new gaskets are 10-20 bucks from saab. Injectors. fittings for your oil pan so you can run your return line. there are also vaccum lines you will need for your bov, wastegate, map sensor and what not. plus the t-fittings for the lines.
Quote:
+ 200-400 for the new tmap sensor and the reflash dependin on the stealership
the tmap sensor new from gm is about 65 bucks and the connector is slightly more expensive.I think its about 70 but i dont wanna dig out the reciept, now some may have connection @ a dealer and get them for cheaper, some do not.
Now paying for the reflash is different everywhere you go. i know i have been apart of 5 reflashes if not more. When we first got brandonsons we got charged close to 200 bucks for the reflash, when we did chads and collens its was only about 30 bucks becuase they bought the gm chargers. I know NJHK paid close to 300 to get his reflashed and had to go to countless dealers.
So if you are gonna piece together a kit you will be looking @ 500-2000 bucks. It just depends where you buy it and how new it is.
You will be paying more for new parts.
