Well the car was running great the past few days but im having a problem now. I went out today to start it up and it fired right up but the idle was pretty rough. Then the car cut off including all power. Now there is no power at all, I get nothing. But, the gauges in the cluster are still at what they were before the car cut off. For example, when you turn your car off the rpm meter will go all the way down, but its still in the same spot.. I actually got it to start again but there was smoke coming from the downpipe and then it cut off again with the same results. Any ideas?
check your grounds and your electrical connections. the same thing happend to me, didn't think that it was the battery cable was loose, ended up buying a new starter for no reason. simple mistak I made.
