ive done research and cant find the reason for this, but y does the hahn turbo kit only fit manual?? im thinking either the i/c piping or port fueler or something, but if it can fit an auto then ill prolly get it, any feedback is much appreciated
1) Fitment: The automatic transmission is a GIANT compared to the 5 speed.
2) Strength: The automatic trans wasn't built with power in mind and it likes to fight back against any major power from what I've heard.

the 4t40e is rated at like 325 or 350 lb ft tho, i can see about the fitment, but that would be the i/c piping right, maybe manifold
I have heard otherwise those with Auto's can handle more power than a manual tranny. YOu alway hear a boosted manual blowing the tranny etc.. DOn't hear it that much on a Auto if you do.

The trans hits everything, piping, turbo, manifold. It's just TOO big. LOL
Mylife: the ONLY auto trans I don't hear breaking are built ones. Only manual issues I hear about are people overpowering their clutches...and that's not really a flaw or weak engineering.

** If i write in caps its cause im @ work and i can only write in caps cause the keyboard is a retarded CAPS only keyboard.**
pretty much from what i can tell you the turbo has to get re-clocked on the charge side , and youll have to run the charge pipe up and over the top , then down through the washer area behind the battery to the intercooler
wether the down pipe will clear the trans im not sure of
Has anyone on these forums installed the Hahn Stage 2 turbo kit on an Auto??
I know mine (JMTS) is a super tight fit, and that is with a header, not a log. I've busted many a knuckle with this setup. Still love it though. I'll take some pictures of the latest Turbo re-install in this upcoming week for reference.

You can easily put a turbo kit on a auto. Heck one of the first every turboed J's was a auto. Yes it is tigher, but can be done. I remember reading a post by Bill Hahn in regards to this. He said the reason they did not offer a kit was the torque there kit made in the lower RPMS played havic on the auto tranny, and made it heat up more. He also said with things like HPTuners and seeing what changed could be made to the tranny's operation could change if they offer one or not. He said most of the issues was with normal driving, and not WOT racing.
I would like to add a turbo header might not fit on a auto, but a log manifold will for sure. I have one to prove it.

Yeah the trans got REAL hot at anything but no throttle or full throttle. This in turn caused torque converter issues IIRC. Be interesting to see what HRC considers now with the release of HPT and a demand for automatic kits
