I'm not sure if this has been asked before. I've searched but nothing came up.
Anyways, I recently got the gm supercharger (m45) installed on my cav and I'm looking to get the smaller pulleys.
Aside from the price, Is there any difference between the smaller pulleys from pulley boys and embree? Or are they pretty much the same thing?
Which brand are you guys running and what size?
Thanks
i got the embree and have no complaints at all, i have both the 2.7 and 2.6 pulley and currently have the 2.6 with alky on mine and i see at least 9psi with the alky on when its warm out and roughly 13 psi when its cold out
I am going to say go pulley boys... i belive they are cheaper... as well offer more selection... you can get the stock size pulley as well for times when / if you ever want to go back to stock...
sizes i would not go lower then 2.6".... you will just be waisting your money.... but if you plan on running alcohol injection i would say get/use the 2.6"... if not go with the 2.7" as you will still be happy just wont need to run alcohol to get the full out effect of it as you would with the 2.6".... but thats not to say you can not run the 2.6" with out alcohol... i didnt use my alcohol inj. with the 2.6" pulley much... just couldnt get the 10psi of boost with out alcohol thats about it..
The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
I have embree, it is what came with mine (2.7) so I kept with them. I just upgraded to the 2.6 and will be staying there, I have the pulley bys set up for sale, 2.6 with hub for 70$ shipped. Only problem is the hub is kinda rough but can be salvageable.
