ok, im wondering if there would be any advantage to doing the 0.04 overbore instead of the 0.02 i was thinking of doing. im hoping to run 10 or 10.5:1 compression ratio, with the gm charger and direct port spray. im doing all of the internals to support it all as well as beefing up the oiling system in my LD9.
how much displacement would it add, would it only be like 2.41 or something?
You would gain 27cc from going .040" instead of .020", not noticeable. What would be noticeable is having no more cylinder wall the next time you need to rebuild the motor...
