Yet another turbo PROBLEM!
Saturday, June 03, 2006 8:12 PM
ok so here's the deal for those of you who have missed my other issues....
i have, or have ordered and on the way the following parts for my 2000 cavalier 2.4 (LD9):

xs turbo T3 style
manifold w/ wastegate welds and flange
tial 38mm wastegate (external set at 6lbs)
type s BOV
bulk of charge piping
fittings clamps hoses etc.
FMIC from racecar johnny
oil feed and return lines
vacuum lines
venom fuel pump
venom FPR
venom python 36lb injectors
exhaust flange

...and yes i know i need a boost, and AFR gauge. (hopefully a wideband o2). and i already found a place to do the final dynotuning for me like 10 miles away from my house, but the problem is my INJECTORS!!!!!!!

i ordered 36lb universal injectors and the numbers in the catalog said they would fit so after taking off my fuel rail and fitting them i find out that the electrical harness (2 wires with a male connection[ 1 small harness per injector]) do not line up. i am not sure what i need to do to make this work or if i can. anyone have any ideas or run into this same problem???? let me know.
thanx
just so you know what you are looking at... the external diameter of the piece that is to go over the external diameter of the injector is almost the same size as the internal diameter of the injector piece .make sence? the really wierd part to me is that the two prongs in the injector are to fit with the female end on the harness which is like half the size of the male end!!!!!!!!! NOT GOOD!!!!

oh yeah.. one more thing. i have confidence in you all, but please don't just write "wow that sucks man". i really would like to find a solution. if that means constructive criticism... ok, but no random comments from people who have no idea what they are talking about. thanx again

i'm willing to bet that the injector clips from the 2200 motor will fit those. those look like they have the same connector on them that my ford red tops have. i had to buy 2200 injector clips for them.

ACDELCO Part # PT113
Category: Fuel Injector Connector {2-WAY FEMALE BLACK #12085491} they are like $12 a piece from rockauto.com

Its bosch style injector clips, same ones the 95-98's all had, but the 99+'s had different, smaller plugs. You will have to change to the older style, you can get them from a 95-98, or from just about any ford vehicle.
