Eco S/C with 2.8 pulley and 550cc injectors
Tuesday, May 30, 2006 5:11 PM
I maxed out the saab injectors on the 3.0 pulley. Just installed the 2.8 and 550's this past weekend. Nice difference, highly recommend it.

14-15psi is your friend. Makes me wonder what kindof boost one would see with a 2.6 or 2.5 pulley.

Thats awasome!! I still want to go for a ride in your car!!! To see the difference between my turbo setup and your S/C setup...

Sounds sweet, I am hoping to get either the 3.0" or 3.1" pulley. I dont want to have to use Alky Injection since i'm not too familiar with it yet. I'm hoping the 3.0" and atleast the 3.1" pulley will be fine with the reflash I have. I'd hate to have to re-tune it.

One thing that everyone here is not remembering is that you are not using the ECO reflash like we are, and that you have a piggyback unit so you have the ability to adjust your car where we do not....and I say that as I have been reading up on the stage kits for the Cobalt and basically you are running the stage 2 kit from GM, but the cobalt guys get a reflash with theirs...and I have no idea what the reflash does....

With that being said, I am somewhat envious, and still am waiting for my ride...You are truly an innovator and instigator!

Alex there won't be any retuning for you as the reflash has no means to tune it, so if the car doesn't like the mod you have to go back to where you were.

definitely not forgetting about his e-manage....

but it's just normal that if we want to do those mods we have to find a way to tune the car...

hopefully HPTuners will support the s/c reflash in the near future...

I'll be at JCO this weekend which will also have a track event. It's also nice to have the ability to tune at least a lil bit on my own with the emanage.

Although keep in mind I'm missing something the redline/cobalt stage 2 reflash uprades. A 7k rev limiter

I'll probably have the 2.6 pulley on in a month or so, waiting to get my wideband back for more tuning

Ecoenvy, we'll have to swap rides as I'm curious to see how the hahn kit compares also. We should lineup at jco!

hey Airtonics if this is off topic say it and I will create a new thread, but I'd like to have precisions on what you said once about shifting at 6k at the track because you felt that timing was being pulled above that (on the stock pcm tune).

how positive about this are you and do you think it would do the same with the s/c reflash ?

last time I went to the track I shifted at rev limiter everytime and my best was a 14.7 at 98.5 with 2.3 60'. That's pretty @!#$ty but it was also 90% humidity and some light rain making traction pretty much impossible...

I'm wondering if I should shift at 6k....

I lose time if I shift at 6500 rpm, I'm not sure the exact reason. Although it seems most likely that GM would pull timing out for a feeling of lost power at that rpm so people didn't rev the poo out of these motors. Hard to say really without datalogging it with HP tuners or something along those lines.

All I can say is try shifting at 6k and see if it helps your next time out. I know I dropped .2 in the qtr and gained 1mph of traps. It feels like it's making power near the rev limiter but those times show me differently.

The reflash may be different but I doubt it. Only way to find out is trial and error.

Nice! Too bad I wont be into my 2.6" pulley in time for the bash... Damn HPT. Im debating doing a tune from stock if the auto guys are on the same boat as the manuals.
