which saturn are they from and does anyone have a part#

now will these just drop in...is there machining involved when putting these in?

its for a 96 2.2

i was under the impression the injectors were a direct swap.....thanx for the advice........

in theory though you could an adjustable fpr and turn it way down to 13 psi? maybe. just a thought.

an emanage could do that couldnt it?

Jimmy, the body is actually the same as the 94?-97 LN2 injectors. According to slowolej, they are direct fit (they've been running for something like 3 years now). I'm assuming the connector is also the same. In theory you could turn the pressure down w/ an afpr, but controlling them would be very difficult because I believe most regulators are good for something like 30-50psi. Also, these are VERY low resistance IIRC.

e-manage can't control pressure, and pulse widths only get so low before the injectors become uncontrolled....

Injectors drop in. Exact same dimensions physically. Saturn TBI uses 30 psi regulator as do big block medium duty truck from 95-96. Resistance per injector is about 1.2 Ohms each, they draw huge amounts of current which required different injector drivers in my pcm. Adjustable FPR required cutting a few coils out of the spring to bring pressure at idle down to maybe 17 psi (I don't remember anymore), bringing injector flow from 52 #/hr down to more reasonable number around 42 #/hr.
91-94 Saturn S series vin 9 engine has these injectors. Also look up 95 G van w/ 454 online to find same size and flow but different color injector.
You need a way to tune your ecm / pcm to use these.

slow: You should post a how-to on that if you haven't already... Now that you're not the only one doing it, anyhow...

Hey slow,
With what we're doing with my 95 2.2l, you think these will just drop in to the intake rail, this might solve my fuel problem. ??? though, i have to get an fpr from a 95-96 medium duty pickup?
If so i'll hit up the parts yard tommorow and rip what parts i need, we're planning on running 7psi boost with a t3/t4 doner turbo, and ebay log.
Also, do you know if the 16196285 injector drivers can handle the low impedence injectors, or do i have to add a resistor pack to balance them out?
