i'm just curious as to whats the difference.

You mean impedence.

To nutshell it, the voltage that the drivers in the PCM use to pulse the injectors.

oooo ok . i bet thats where i messed up . thats hy my car is running all messed up right now . it studders a lot . i have 310 cc injectors. high impedance. my car studders and stalls when i stop nd try to accelerate hard. its a automatic by the way .

what did your car have factory? 310cc in something 2000+ high imp will be fine

HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED

i think it was somethin like 160 cc. i don't know why my caar runs like it does . when i step on it it studders but when it stops and goes it hauls ass.. and it will stall out whenj i'm at a red light and press the gas to go . i guess its to much fuel goin in . i'm not sure . and a lot of black smoke comes out to sometimes.

o2 sensor bad ???

mine was and it did that sometimes.... studdered, black smoke..... (rich) ...... I changed the o2 sensor for another reason and that problem went away !!

why not give up some info on your car , so people can give you better ideas

you give absolutely NO INFO needed to help , and you dont have your car info filled out either

ok i am running the j tuners turbo kit with intercooler kit on a 2001 sunfire with the 2200 and a 4 speed automatic. it hsas a 5 psi spring in the wastegate . for fuel i have a set of 310 cc high impedence j tuners fuel injectors with a cartech 2025 fmu . i am running staright pipe with no cat .

Nothing to do with voltage, everything to do with resistance and current

You have high impedance (saturated), low impedance (peak and hold) differ by the amount of resistance as measured through the injector coil by about 10 ohms. The driver circuit needs to be designed to run either high or low impedance. You can run low impedance injectors in a high impedance system by adding resistors to change the impedance of the coil, but you cannot run high impedance injectors in a low impedance system (no way to reduce the resistance of a circuit).

I think you are running too much fuel, what is your Cartech set at for a rate?

You need to either back the needle valve off a little bit to lean it up....but not too far....or mess with fuel pressure which is controlled thru the top of the fmu...but dont mess with it too much cause you will crush the diaphram inside of the fmu and then you will really have problems...

Do you have a wideband?

Is the fmu even hooked up right?

Thank you Ron, that's what I meant.

I agree on the too much fuel comment.

Check which way the FMU is hooked up. A friend of mine hooked his up in reverse, it wasnt pretty...
