Please help with wideband info

I had another post pertaining to correct AFR's. I have been working for a few days on this and I still can't come to grips with it. I have an Innovate LM-1 wideband. The sensor is in the spot welded into the exhaust flange from Hahn.

The problem I have is running too rich. I am trying to get the AFR reading up to 12.0. I keep seeing about 10.8 at WOT right before redline. I have adjusted base fuel pressure to about 23 psi. Hahn recommends 35, so I am already at very low base fuel pressure. The car burbles very noticeably, but I'm not sure it's backfiring. This was done since I had the needle valve on the regulator out all the way and AFR was still too rich under boost.

What I do not understand is when should I get a 12.0 reading for AFR? The values change rapidly as I am driving under boost. Should I see a "solid" 12.0 at a certain point? My understanding was during WOT at high rpm is when I should see a value of about 12.0. This is the point where I currently see about 10.8.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Actually now I have the base fuel pressure down to 20 psi at idle. I still see about 10.8 AFR near redline at WOT. I am just getting frustrated at this point and I'm not sure what to do now.

You are adjusting the wrong thing, you want to adjust your fuel pressure rising rate, not your base pressure.

Right, I was adjusting the rising rate with the needle valve. The problem was that I had the valve turned out as far as it would go. So I lowered the base pressure to try and lean out the other.

Does anyone have some insight to share on this?

what size injectors are you running in the car? what kinda fuel pressure are you seeing at WOT?

They are the Accel 32# injectors that came with the Hahn stage 2. The fuel pressure ranges from 85 to 90 psi most of the time.

You don't have the FMU hooked up backwards do you?

No it's hooked up as the instruction manual says. I just don't understand the point that I need to see the 12.0 AFR. So basically when I know that point I can then adjust the FMU accordingly. I'm sorry I can't explain it better.

The point you need to see 12:1 is when you are making boost, anytime you are in boost, you should be at 12:1

That is definetly not even close to the case then. The AFR on the readout is constantly changing when I'm in the boost. Or do you mean to keep a consistent level of boost and then see if the AFR stabilizes to 12. Either way, I don't see how I can get it to remain at 12. The values go from about 14.7 under normal load, then jump to 13's 12's then quickly 11's. At the top of the rpm band and at max boost it then gets to 10.8. It all happens very fast when I'm driving.
