Hey all. Im looking to boost my car (eventually) and i was just discussing it yesterday with a few of my friends who will help with the install. We were able to find 2 kits that bolt to the car, one from JTuners and the other from Hahn.

They both put out about the same horsepower with an intercooler, i was wondering which kit i should get. does one make more power/tq than the other? which is more reliable? any tips/suggestions information you can provide for a boost newb in this matter?


FYI, im not an idiot when it comes to cars, just never installed a turbo on a car that wasnt designed with a turbo in mind at all.

Id say find the compressor maps for each turbo, because one uses a T3 super 60 .42 .48 and the other is a 15 or 16G i cant remember, any way find the maps and calculate how efficient each turbo will be at your altitude at the boost range you want to run. Which ever one fits better go with that.

both of the kits are very good. the jtuners doesn't come with any fuel management, so look into that also. another thing you should consider is doing your own intercooler set up. johnny racecar intercoolers are less then 200 and the piping should be less then 100. that would save you a ton of money.

I never actualy did a search, but i was short on time... I will be looking around tonite, but thankyou for the tip on the intercooler, anything to save money i will do
