I am buying a used GM SC kit that is missing the map sensor. Does any 2 bar work? I am trying to find one for cheaper than GM charges. Also any advice on where to buy one would be greatly appreciated. Please dont waste your time or mine by telling me to search, I already did and wound up with more questions than before. I thought somebody sourced out a really cheap 2 bar map sensor from another GM car on this forum? Hmm... it was about 2-3 months ago... search back a bit I think you might find it... it was really reasonably priced.

anything 0-5 volt 2 bar will work, make sure you get the clip for the wirring if it is different

Is there an easy way to know if the clip will be the same. I would be shocked if gm made this sensor only for this kit.

Well I searched on google and it does show that it is a 2-bar on websites. Your best bet would be to call the dealer and ask them directly if that part number is a 2 bar just to double check. I think it is for Grand National and GM changes there part numbers from time to time as well. But the guy from the dealer said it was a 2 bar.

If you search google and type in: GM part number 12569241 and scroll down and just read some of the briefs on the wepage it says its a 2-bar. Here is what the box says:

On the back is just says 466 and C B A under the plug area

when you put 2.0 , i was thinking you meant the 1 from the 2 litler motor , and not the BAR rating

Does the sensor in the kit have a three hole setup to connect it too? Mine is not shaped like that its shaped like a regular map sensor. I will post some pictures when I get home.

Timothy Take a look at the one in the link to the ebay auction above. If yours has three round holes it will not work unless you have the conector that plugs into it and then splice the wires on your cars conector to the old three hole style conector. Can anyone post a pic of what the ion redlines map sensor looks like.

the redlines map isnt a map , its a TMAP
if you search through the eco sc reflash post there is a pic of it , it is a 4 wire sensor , also it is not a 2 bar map , it is over 2 bar , how much over im not sure
That is how mine lookes. Only thing is I can' t tell in the picture or not but mine needs a cut out for the center opening as well as the one on the right side. So I would need to buy one of the hookups to this sensor to splice into my factory one?

Ya the one I have is this style
