Ok, ive seen that there is a super charger for the ecotech. Is there one for the REGULAR 2200?? if so from where>>?? thanks guys
I'd started a thread just a few days back on exactly what you're looking for...apparently you didn't search too hard because it would have been within the last 2 pages here in the boost forum. The supercharger for the 2.2/2200 OHV is made by RSM (www.rsmracing.com) However, be aware that as soon as someone mentions RSM, you're going to hear all sorts of horror stories of them - people have had bad experiences, and they'll ALL tell you to stay away from them. I don't know if they're really as bad as people say because I have no experience with them and so I won't tell you not to look at them at all. Best advice I could give if you're interested in them, is contact them and get a feel for them over the phone/e-mail, and then make your own decision.
asking about a S/C for the OHV comes up once a week and pretty much the same answer each time. the Vortec kit is not worth the $4500US for it. a turbo set up running 8psi and tuned well will cost alot less then that.
Sell it, spend and extra 1k and get a Z... much better platform then the 2.2ohv...

I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
I wouldn't say it is a better platform, just easier to modify and build. everyone has different tastes. i like my 2.2 and the challenge of building it. honestly if i were to start over it would be with a 2.4 eco. or whatever. ;O)

2.2 wont see as much power on 8psi as a 2.4 will.......i have a 2.2 auto and a 2.4 manual.....def get a 2.4 its like a night and day difference
