so when I run in 3rd and 4th it pulls awesome, but in 1st and 2nd it feels like the engine pulls timing or something and goes into limp mode.
I've done a built engine with 2.3 pump, intake, balanced, P+P secret cams, twin BB turbo, FMIC, yesturday I put in the 1 step colder plugs and that helped a lot, is it necassary to go down one more step? could something else be wrong? thanks.

what is your A/F??? Is your only fuel mods the injectors/sc reflash??

I am running the GM s/c trio, and a Begi 2025, (approx 3:1) wideband shows 11.9-12.1, then outta no where just boggs and then into limps mode. I have a CEL but no reader yet, I will be going to my friends either today or monday, any ideas?
Pyrometer shows the EGTs are only 1350-1400 (5"after turbo)

I did some screwing around and searching, came up with that some people use 2 steps colder, but no one says why they do that... is it better than one? would octane booster help?

what you were explaining is a random cylinder misfire when it feels like it cuts to 50% and shutters real funny. Thats what that is. The reflash does pull timing and nooone knows how much. It could be detecting another noise as being a knock . There are a million and one things it could be. Run the scanner and let us know. good luck

You are maxing out your injectors. when the computer senses all that boost it will bump up the fuel. When it does this you are at 100% duty cycle and the injectors begins to clip, creating a multiple cyl. misfire. That is what your cel is. turn down your boost or get bigger injectors. and it will be fine. Before you car reaches normal operating temp. it will run rich and the injectors will be working hard already. If you boost under these circumstances it will also cause the injectors to clip.

Well I hope Garret doesn't mind me posting this, but we put his car on my scanner today, and this is what we found:
-codes were all related to the 2ndary O2 sensor, not related to misfires, etc
-Seeing 6 degrees of knock retard under boost
-Seeing only 6 degrees of timing advance under boost, this was weird for me to see, but he's running the GMSC reflash, so that could explain it.
Has anyone with the reflash taken a look at how much timing advance they see under boost, is this normal to be so low? My car, NA mind you, sees 27-29 degrees advance at WOT. The car feels good, but is not making the kind of power that it should with that much boost. A/F ratio's were all mid to low 12's under boost, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Brand new GMSC spec plugs, so aren't those a heat range cooler than stock?

I'll go pick up some colder plugs today in Winnipeg, I might even be out for the cruise tonight... it is kinda disappointing, but I guess it might take a couple days of tuning to get everything going right.
TR7's??? who makes those, could I get them at any NAPA or Piston Ring store?

I was going to post about this on a different thread but I'll post it in here too. I was driving around yesturday and my car just died. so I pulled over and cranked, and it started instantly. So I drove 1 min then it happened again. It started right back up again no problems. So I figured out when it dies, I just have to turn the key off then on and it keeeps running.... weird, but it gets worse
I was driving all fine and all my lights and radio, flashers, interior light, eveeything died but the car kept driving.... I thought maybe battery cable, so I screwed with the switches and stuff, still nothing, I shut the car off and started with the starter (so everything had power) and kept driving, but none of the lights came back on, about 30 seconds late everything came back on and it was alll good..... so I am kinda confused, I checked everything, and it kinda does it at will, I thought maybe FP was getting high and shutting it off, but the gauge shows it is normal... weird
IAN -- what do you think about the car being at 100% load at 3000rpm ? and I tried figuring out what 20mil sec injector cycle meant but I got nothing..

I totally forgot about that, that was weird. I've never datalogged a boosted car before, so I'm not sure what to make of it all. Again, I'm wondering if any of the GMSC guys have done any datalogging, and what kind of things they have seen? Are there any other variables we should have looked at?

so I figure out that the signal wire to my command start/alarm was getting pinched by the shifter cables, so that was causing the car to die and do weird thing... I bought some
NGK TR7IX plugs, I hope those are the right ones, they are crazy expensive

do you know what the part number is for the copper ones? I would prefer to get those, I think the store is open for another 75 min or so, I wold call and see if they have them in stock and grab those, I haven't installed these yet
