i did a search and found nothing, i was wondering how many pipes, bends, curves, w/e you used for it on a 2.4.
I am searching on ebay i just would like to know what i need

depends on if you want to remove your battery and move it or not for the cold side.. but the hot side every one bascially does the same way...

i didnt feel like moving the battery to the trunk... and still wanted to keep my windshield washer tank so mine went like this on the cold side...

and like this on the hot side:

**Keep in mind this was all mock up.. so things in the final end result were redone with more compleat bends so alot less couplings, but for the mock up i just bought 4 "J" bends from a local exhaust shop and that was more then enough.. i guess you could just look at the bends i used and go from there... **

so i would say you would need about

8 - 90 degree bends

2 - 45 degree bends

blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno

I used 10 90 degree bends (or 8 180's). My routing is similar to Josh's up there.

Thanx Charles

Josh no offense, but thats a rediculous amount of silicone, did you not weld any of the places where the pipes met? I'd be very afraid having the pipes under the car held together with connectors like that.

Hey Josh F I have my setup mocked up the same for the hot side and I was wondering if you were having any issues with the pulley there behind the ecu. Let me know. Thanks in advance!

thank you Spilner521 i guess some people don't read all of what i put... yes it was lots of couplings but how else am i going to mock it up properly and find out correct bends? and no its not a problem running under there... it ran fine with it like that... nothing came apart... every thing was held together strong and nothing was being pulled... hence why so many piece so that it wasn't being pulled apart...

not 100% sure what you mean... but i know the hot side took no time at all.. no problems either.. just marked the hole... cut it just slightly bigger then the tube so that it was still a tight fit and slide it threw.. i did have to tie wrap a few bundles of wires up out of the way but nothing to major... i just didn't want them close to the charge pipes even though after hard driving if i go under and touch the hot side its barely even warm, it still is cold in some spots... but then i guess this is also because the turbo isn't working that hard to produce the 12psi or so because of the supercharger there as well...

Sorry for not reading it all Josh.

eight 180 bends will cover you for charge pipes and a downpipe.

By tacking in place like the rest of the world.....

You don't throw lots of couplers on there to find out what bends you need, actually you couldn't even accurately do that as the ends wont sit flush and your marks will be 3" apart with the couplers in the way.
You throw lots of couplers on to run it like that without having to weld... and the proof?
"and no its not a problem running under there... it ran fine with it like that... nothing came apart... every thing was held together strong and nothing was being pulled... hence why so many piece so that it wasn't being pulled apart... "
Weld all those pipes. Don't spend all that time/money and then cheap out on something simple.

funny the rest of the @!#$ world doesnt have welders in their garage... ever though about that one smart guy? you think we all have these laying around? no we dont...

and also funny thing is they fit pretty damn flush if you measure and cut them properly...

how did i cheap on any thing? this was my mock up to get the right bends and YES it did work so NO you dont know it all... and dont spend all the money on what? $30 for 4 feet of 2.5" silicon? and $100 for the pipe? thats nothing...
