Im not sure if i put this in the right forum... and If i didn't please let me know where to post this... I just thought since i am running boost i could put it here.
Well im just curious if someone could give me some info...
I am running the hahn stage 2 kit at 8psi. I have been turbo'd for about... alil over a month. And im stilll cautious on this boost thing... My question is. How would i know if i did something bad to the motor... Like something on the inside, with internals an so forth, running boost... Would there be certian noises i would hear or anything???
Over the period of having the car, i forgot what a stock ece sounded like... Withoug all the mods....!!!
My a/f numbers are good, and the car seems to be running real good... Strong and fast!!!
But if anyone could give me some info on this that would be good... I have never blow'n an egine or damaged one... Thats why i am asking... Thanks
2004 Turbo cavalier 11PSI and blown!
If you blow an engine or do internal damage.....trust me ....you'll know.....i havent personally yet......but have seen other engines with damaged internals and its not pretty........you might experience rough running, some knocking noise that get louder with RPM increase, check oil periodically for and metallic shavings.....make sure is always clean of any debris......keep up on your oil changes as well....i would recommend changing oil sooner that 3000 miles though....
Like I said...the only one I've blown was my buddies. We hurt it on one pass and decided to shoot it to hell on the next one. Nice, clean kill.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.
