2001 2.4L.
Will I need an oil regulator for the oil feed line on a t3 turbo if I use the oil port between the cams tower?
i had the oil restrictor from atp in my 2.4......at cold start up it was like 30 psi....hot it was as low as 10.....sometimes damn near 0....i took the restrictor out and just ran a standard 3/16 brake line i have about 30-40 psi cold and 10 psi hot....
i also had the 3/16 line with the restrictor....i wasnt to confident with the restrictor....
maybe someone else here has had better luck with it...
i know a couple people that have blown there seals on a turbo cause of high pressure. everyone sez that if you run the right size and one of the guys that blew his turbo was running the size stated and still blew his turbo. personally i rather run a restrictor with a turbo.... from my understanding there isnt a need for a lot of oil pressure to a turbo as long as oil is being feed to it in proper amounts
