Haven't had experience, but I was looking into the 2.4L kit a long time ago. The 2.2L kist looks pretty good, and seems that it doesn't come with "generic" piping, all custom fit. Comes with the downpipe already fabbed, fitted charge pipes, complete oiling system, sexy tubular manifold, and all the little miscellaneous hardware/fittings. The Garett Super 60 is a pretty popular turbo as well. Very quick spool. As far as I'm concerned, an intercooler is mandatory, but if you really didn't want one right off, you could get away with it.
It is a complete kit, but there's still a few things you'd want to add, specifically with the fuel system. The kit allows you to use the stock injectors at low boost, but this isn't necessarily a great idea, so look into a set of maybe 310cc injectors to start off with, and the description doesn't mention a FPR or FMU, but it looks like there's at least an FMU in the pic. Still, I'd go ahead and invest in a nice Accel FPR and a Cartech 2025 FMU. Lots of folks here still use the stock fuel pump, but just like the injectors, that may not necessarily be the greatest idea, so perhaps a Walbro 255. Then of course you may choose to get a Wideband O2 system to help out. You're best bet after installing the kit is to go right out and invest in a good dyno-tune, because bad A/F ratios make motors go boom.
Looks like they put down some nice numbers with that kit.
$2500 is quite a lot. You could spend a few weeks searching around here and figure out all the parts you'd need to make your own system for a lot less. But the point is, the JTuners kit is pretty good, and I never heard anyone complain about any of their turbo kits.
