tore apart my fresh rebuilt motor on sat after loosing compression and realized it wasent a broaken piston but wrather all 4 pins seperated from the rods and wrecked my cylenders. oh well. im geting another block today w/50k for $100 from the junk yard that pressed my pins in.
You seem to have bud luck with blowing motors. Good luck, and next time have a reputable company build your motor.
Failure is not failure if you learn from it
the first few i cant blame on anybody just my bad tune. this motor i built myselfe with the exception of the pressing. but i have it tuned now and expect good things.
Why don't you go with a floating wrist pin setup? The same thing happen to me on a JBP engine that they built. Now i'm redoing it all myself. The eagle rods i got are for a floating wrist pin setup, and the Wiseco pistons I had support a floating wrist pin, (i.e. have a groove for a snap ring) So, I'm going that route. So i don't have to worry about it again.
