Did you blow one up already?

If your at the level of destroying the factory manifold you'd need a lot more than just that. I've had mine at 17PSI and seen a guy run 21PSI through one multiple times. Your not gonna break that thing without some serious pressures. It looks weak but it really isn't. I've had a spare one all seperated out and that booger is THICKWALLED.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

the stock manifold is more then tough enough. it sees more pressure from vacuum every day in stock form then your likely to throw at it with a turbo.

LMAO +1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times!!! Sees more pressure on vacuum.
So if pound of positive pressure equals about 2 inches of vaccum, I sometimes see about 26 inches of vacuum under hard ass deceleration, so he will never run more than 13 psi positive??? lol

Yea, the stockie is good for a lot like 25 psi. I will throw about 19 at it tomorrow, let you know how it holds.

with some mods can use use the saab cast aluminum intake

but personally i dont think its worth it , several guys have gone over 20 psi

Just be careful you don't blow the welds on your intake-- next thing you know, the floor falls out !!

an empty coolant jug holds like 80-90psi before it pops... sure makes for a fun joke......

Well....I've gotta say something here. Vacuum(negative pressure) is not the same as boost(positive pressure) and cannot be considered in any way related to eachother. I know nobody said they are the same, however roscoe did relate them. You cannot say since your man ifold can hold a vacuum that this somehow qualifies the manifold for boost. I can build a manifold that can hold 80psi vacuum and not hold a damn bit of boost really easy. Look at concrete.....stiff as hell.....takes a hell of alot of compression, or boost, but can't take a damn bit of tension, or vacuum, before it snaps. Just because it can hold massive compression doesn't in anyway qualify the concrete for the tension it can hold.
Positive and negative pressure is totally unrelated.
The same idea for the manifold.

I'm with all you guys...even the 2.4 manifold can hold good boost, so I totally agree that the plastic works. I just dont want anybody to be mis-lead.
