01 S/c cavi w/reflash, which injector upgrade?
Sunday, April 02, 2006 10:49 AM
Ok.
Did some searches and have come up some questions. First, my cavy is s/c'd and reflashed, so it uses the gm 310cc injectors (high independence). Using a 2.7 pulley and w/i kit, hitting 7-8psi. Want to install my 2.6 but still want to run the 2.7 a few more times at the track.

However, i'm worried that i'm going to run lean. Still in the mists of getting a wideband 02 , but want to upgrade injectors. I know theres the ford red tops but they are just the same as the sc 310s. I know the cpu can only handle a max varience of 15% to 356cc. The brown tops 35lbs would be just out of the range, and are low indepence. So would they work, or would the cpu freek out (assuming someone posted how to use resisters to make them run high indepence...).

Boosted cavi, i noticed you use brown tops on ur 03+. How did u get the low to work on a high independece system?

All info on similar set ups would be appreciated!
Nate

im using the 36lb 2.0 eco s/c injectors

ive had to drop the fuel pressure alot for off boost

and had to have spacers made for them and the fuel rail so that they would seat properly

next option now that the eco s/c is out , in the kit they are using the same style injectors , as the 2.4 s/c kit and are 36lb

so they would require no mods to use them

Your computer is reflashed isn't it? And its doesn't freek out since they are higher then 35xcc's? pics of the spacers u made ??

i havent had the pcm freak out from the injectors , ive had them in for about 4-5 months

paco loco , is his user name here , he has a turbo eco cav and a gto

he had the spacers made and they look simialr to the 1's in the pics , but are thinner and smaller

but as i said , with the release of the eco s/c kit , there is now a injector that does not require modifactions , because the eco sc kit uses the same tall skinnny black injectors the 99(late)-02 2.4 uses

Same question..
I swapped to the pre 99 harness to use the red tops so these ECOs are out of the question.
I think FORD racing and MSD make 34lb high imp injectors the same size.. but I'm not sure.
