exhaust sizing with turbo

hey guys I am building an engine and curious what size exhaust I should go with. I was thinking 2.5" mandrell bend would be enough.
3" isn't much more money, but I'm curious if anyone has done this and had any fitment issues? Could you please post some pictures of your exhaust setups with sizes.

I am running a turbo with specs near a "super 60" and will be going for around 250-275whp, maybe upgrade more in a year. thanks

I saw something about 1"= 100hp, 2.5"=250hp.... I almost died when I saw that.... so good

I've searched a bit and found this, but just curious for some pics,
-exhaust sizing can reduce my total boost
-larger exhast can help spool a turbo faster
-I've read bits about larger exhaust being louder (which I don't want)
-3" clunks on the rear over ever bump
-2.25" is WAY too small (is 2.5" much better)

3" would be ideal for you....usually with a turbo, the larger the piping the better. like you mentioned, it will help spool the turbo quicker because there will be very little restriction after the turbo. and yes, bigger piping will make the exhaust a little louder, but remember the turbo itself is a very good muffler....add a high flow cat, long resonator and quality straight thru muffler and you'll have a very free flowing exhaust that sounds nice, but is fairly quiet and tolerable. I have 3" myself and there are people here that have 3" and have never had it hit the back axle over bumps, just make sure whoever does your exhaust routes it up high enough over the axle so that it wont hit.

3" isnt to big to where there wouldnt be enuf back pressure, cuz im installing a turbo on my 2.4 also and have to have my exhaust custom done and was thinking about 3"

turbo + backpressure = NO GOOD. you want it to be free flowing.
